Emoji stickers to bring in All Hallows’ Eve
This October, sprinkle your messages with some spooky downloadable Halloween emoji stickers. Cause for celebration? Send a Halloween cupcake. Feeling sleepy? Say it with a zombie. Cooking up a storm? A cauldron should do the trick.
We’ve got fun Halloween sticker options for iOS and Android.
Plus, some good news for Android users, the latest Gboard update supports downloadable stickers. You can add Bitmoji to your messages right from your keyboard. Other apps, that don’t account for this Gboard update, can only be added the old fashioned way. Copy and paste.
JoyPixels for Chrome
Chrome addon, JoyPixels (formerly EmojiOne) has some – dare we say, pretty? – Halloween and October emojis you can use all year round. Their Halloween Party sticker pack is priced at $29 and comes with cute pumpkins, monsters and creepy bugs. Our faves are the sugar skull and candy corns – clearly better used as emojis than a food source.
So far, Bitmoji offers a couple creepy versions of your avatar. Just search Halloween to find them. Here’s zombie Christine and vampire Christine.
A few years back, Bitmoji teamed up with Snapchat and launched costumes for your Bitmoji. Keep your eye on Snapchat later in the month for cool costumes. If you don’t have Bitmoji linked to Snapchat already, you definitely should. Linking gets you special features like friendmoji where you can include yourself and a friend in an image when you chat. With Halloween coming up, the potential costume combinations are endless.
Linking Bitmoji to Snapchat is easy. Just open Snapchat, tap the ghost icon at the top of the camera screen and tap the gear icon to open settings. Tap Bitmoji and then tap Link Bitmoji.
Emoji stickers for iOS
A simple, free sticker option with all the seasonal classics is the Halloween Stickers Pack. This one is kid-friendly and has a kind of Halloween party theme with a skull party hat, a cupcake and a green balloon. You’ll also get the requisite basics, a black cat, a skeleton and a jack-o-lantern.
We also loved the Pumpkin emoji & stickers which is a kind of classic emoji pack, but instead of a yellow cartoon face, basic emotions (think happy, sad, surprised) are represented with a jack-o’-lantern.
If you’re something of a sticker connoisseur you’re going to have to fork over at least $0.99 for really unique art. We loved the Halloween Mega Pack (get it for $0.99 in the Apple App Store) because there’s easily something for everyone. The Halloween Mega Pack comes with a bunch of different styles of sticker, from cartoonish to crafty.
Emoji Stickers for Android
Like iOS, Android has a bunch of free Halloween sticker options available on the Google Play Store. You can find bigger packs if you’re willing to spend a dollar or two. Browse through Google Play and see which ones suit your style. You can spend a bit for a pack with flashier art.
We had the most fun playing around with Halloween Stickers by Sticker Family. The app is free in Google Play and the art is cartoonish and cute. This app isn’t up to date with Gboard and you’ll have to copy and paste the individual stickers into your messages. Worth it? We think so.
