In our Centennial progress reports, we offer as much information as we possibly can on the fiber network build process. We’ll also talk about Ting events, promotions and some of the work we’re doing in the Centennial community. Check back regularly to keep up to date on the latest.
In our last construction news post, we provided an update on all the phases of the network where construction was underway. Today, we have some exciting news. We’re officially lighting homes in Centennial with crazy fast fiber Internet.
The network gets lit
Ting and the City of Centennial celebrated the official lighting of the Centennial fiber network with talks from community leaders and the Ting Team. On September 6, we got together to celebrate the achievement with refreshments, talks and a special presentation from Ting.
Speakers included Mark Gotto, Ting City Manager, Stephanie Piko, Mayor of Centennial and Bob Golden, CEO of South Metro Chamber of Commerce. Congrats to Ike H, the resident who got installed with Ting fiber Internet on the day of the lighting ceremony.
Lighting the first customer is a major milestone. It means that all the back-end pieces are in place to connect Centennial to the larger Internet. Now we can move from connecting individuals to connecting neighborhoods. There’s still a lot of work ahead as we continue to bring the crazy fast fiber network to homes and businesses all across Centennial.
We’re installing Phase 1A: Willow Creek 1 and 2
If you’re located in Phase 1A and pre-ordered Ting, expect a call from our team soon to set up a pre-fielding appointment and to book your installation.
Pre-fielding is a service unique to Ting, where a member of our team comes out to your house prior to installation to ensure we’re placing our fiber drop in a path you’re okay with. A fiber drop is the last bit of fiber that gets your home connected to the network.
Every address in Phase 1A is now serviceable. Want Ting? Order service today.
Construction continues in Phase 1B and 1C: don’t forget to pre-order
If you’re located in Phase 1B (Hunters Hill) or Phase 1C (Willow Creek 3 and Willow West), find your corresponding pre-order deadline below. Phase 1B Walnut Hills doesn’t have a deadline yet, so keep those pre-orders coming! When you pre-order Ting gigabit Internet, you secure $250 off your start-up costs. That fully covers the cost of installation and leaves $50 to go toward your first bill.
- The deadline to pre-order for Hunters Hill is November 30, 2018.
Phase 1C: Willow Creek 3 and Willow West
- The deadline to pre-order for Willow Creek 3 and Willow West is October 31, 2018.
Up next? Announcing Phase 2
Construction is starting soon in Phase 2! We’re excited to announce that Foxridge will be the next neighborhood to see Ting fiber construction. If you’ve been following our progress closely, this is the area we previously called Phase 1D.
To learn more about construction, check out our blog post. Find out what to expect when we roll up with our trucks.
The deadline to pre-order in Phase 2 is January 31, 2019.
Remember, when you pre-order Ting gigabit Internet, you secure $250 off your start-up costs. That fully covers the cost of installation and leaves $50 to go toward your first bill.
Ting around town
The Centennial Brew-N-Que is a City-run event for all of Centennial. The Ting team hosted a tent at the event on July 14 at Centennial Centre Park. It was a beautiful day to sample some brews and food. Over 2,000 people attended!
This summer, Ting was a proud sponsor of an event for Willow Creek 1 swim team the Barracudas. Thanks to everyone who came out to the pool on July 14 for a fun, sunny event. Our team was also at the Streets of SouthGlenn Mall run, the National Association of Town Watch event and the Streets at SouthGlenn Concert Series.
On August 11, we had a booth at the Laser Light Show event hosted by the City of Centennial. We had an awesome time meeting everyone. Check out our video for a little behind the scenes.
If you’re in Willow Creek 3 or Willow West and you want to learn more about Ting, look out in your mailbox for an invitation to a special event on Sunday, September 16 where you can meet our team and learn more about fiber Internet.
If you missed your invitation, email Ting Marketing Specialist Audrey Wakely at firstname.lastname@example.org.
