Ting Charlottesville news

The latest updates from the Ting Team in your town

Here’s what we’ve been up to in Cville

Field cabinet serving Redfields and Eagles Landing
Ting has strung much of the fiber in C’ville on poles, but whenever the opportunity presents (ex. new construction), we like to go underground. This field cabinet serves both Eagles Landing and Redfields.

Ongoing and upcoming construction

It may be cold outside, but that hasn’t slowed our construction team down in the least!

We’re close to completing the process of laying fiber in the Redfields neighborhood. Construction started late last fall and we’ve worked hard throughout the winter. Just recently, we spliced in the field cabinet. That means power is on the way very soon!

For every pre-order in this neighborhood, Ting will happily donate $25 to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, which was chosen by the Redfields Homeowners’ Association. Place your pre-order using this link to ensure that your pre-order will be counted toward helping the food bank provide healthy, nutritious food to Blue Ridge area families.

Eagles Landing

Good news for residents of Eagles Landing: we’ve been making great progress with the fiber network construction and we’re going to begin lighting up apartments this month! Ting fiber will be included with tenancy, among other Ting-friendly properties in Charlottesville.

The neighborhood of Fontana is currently in the engineering phase. We hope to go live sometime in the late spring of this year; please stay tuned for more details. In the meantime, if you live in this area, pre-order to let us know you’re interested.

We’re up and operating in some areas of Charlottesville already so if you’re wondering if we’ve made it to your neck of the woods, check your address. If we haven’t reached your neighborhood yet, pre-order to let us know you’re interested. You’ll get a discount on the install fee and will be among the first in line for an installation appointment once we arrive.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for construction news and updates.
