The latest updates from the Ting Team in your town

Meet the Team: Ting Cville’s summer interns Jenny and Shanker

Charlottesville’s Ting team is growing! If you’ve stopped by recent Ting events, it’s likely you’ve met Shanker and Jenny, Ting Cville’s new Marketing interns. Both interns are students at the University of Virginia and will be working with us through August.

Jenny Zhang, Marketing Intern

Jenny, Ting’s Marketing Intern, is a rising third-year student studying English and Chinese at the University of Virginia. She is from Madison, VA and having grown up around the Charlottesville area, she is excited to spend another summer immersed in its rich history and surrounded by good eats and the beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

At UVA, Jenny volunteers with Early Visions at the Fralin, fostering her interest in giving back to her community. During her free time, she loves being outdoors and spending time with family and friends exploring the many scenic locations around the area. You can find her out trying new coffee shops and restaurants, on hikes, or nestled at home reading a book! Working as a Marketing Intern, she attends Ting’s local events, ranging from Tom Sox baseball games to neighborhood parties. Having this opportunity to interact with the people of Charlottesville has been a great learning experience and Jenny is excited to continue to engage with the community and learn more about all that Charlottesville has to offer.

Shanker Narayan, Marketing/Analytics Intern

Shanker is a rising fourth-year student from Centreville, VA studying Statistics and Econometrics at the University of Virginia. He’s very excited about Ting’s growth and potential in the Charlottesville area and beyond and looks forward to the new, unique opportunities that he’ll have this summer.

Aside from participating in Ting events, Shanker will also be processing, analyzing and visualizing data that is relevant to the Ting Marketing Team. At UVA, Shanker serves as a student consultant for local startups in Charlottesville, volunteers in the admissions office and participates in intramural sports. In his downtime, he loves traveling and exploring new cultures, following college and professional sports and spending time with friends and family. He looks forward to spending the summer in Charlottesville while doing work that he is truly passionate about!

We are excited to work with our new interns and cannot wait to see what this summer continues to have in store for them. Welcome, Shanker and Jenny!
