We decided to have some fun in the neighborhood of Johnson Village, an area where we hope to bring our crazy fast fiber Internet in the near future. We wanted to give back to the local elementary school. For every pre-order received, up until October 31st we would make a $100 donation to Johnson Elementary School. If there was 80 total pre-orders by this date we’d round up the donation to $10,000.
To keep everyone in the loop we invited the neighborhood to a block party at Johnson Elementary to answer any questions. We had a great response from the residents, especially when we brought along the face painter and ice cream truck!
Now that the pre-order deadline has passed, we are happy to announce that we have donated $4500 to Johnson Elementary! Summerlyn Thompson, the Principal of Johnson Elementary, said “We will definitely use some of the money to round out our fiction book room – this room houses sets of books/novels at various reading levels, and we really need more options at the lower reading levels, so I will definitely plan to use some of the money to purchase more books!”
Thank you to everyone in Johnson Village who came out to the block party, asked questions and pre-ordered. Aerial construction has begun in the neighborhood and underground construction is to follow.
Pre-order to bring Ting crazy fast fiber Internet to your neighborhood next.
