In our Charlottesville progress reports, we talk about the Ting fiber build, events, promotions and some of the work we’re doing in the Charlottesville community. Check back regularly and follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up to date on the latest.

Hey Cville! In our last construction update, we provided a deeper look at some of the active phases of the fiber network. Today, we’ll continue updating those active areas and also provide a sneak peek at where fiber is headed next.

Underground work in Johnson Village is complete along with aerial fiber work (where fiber is strung up on utility poles). If you live in Johnson Village, you can order service today at

In Martha Jefferson, construction continues and we anticipate work will wrap up there by the end of the month. Construction will get started in the coming months in Barracks/Rugby. Look out for our Ting crews and give us a wave when you see us!

Didn’t see your neighborhood?

If your neighborhood isn’t one of our announced areas, we don’t have an ETA for fiber coming to you just yet. We publish construction updates every two months. Keep an eye on these construction updates for more information coming soon.

Ting around town

Ting partnered with the Belmont/Carlton Neighborhood Association, The Bridge PAI and The Charlottesville Mural Project to bring a neighborhood sign to Belmont.

The BCNA board narrowed the submissions down to four final designs and the community voted for their favorite on Monday, June 10 at The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative

The winning design will be announced later this month.

Ting is a proud sponsor of the Charlottesville Tom Sox! We have had a great time cheering on the team and getting to know many of the fans. Make sure to stop by our table by the third-base dugout at one of the upcoming games!

Ting hosted a pool party for the Residents of Redfields on June 13th. Residents were treated to free ice cream from Sweet Tooth and there was a special promotion for the neighborhood that included donating money to a pool improvement project.

Ting was an exhibitor at the 2nd Annual BRHBA Festival of the Home on June 1 where local residents had a one-stop shop for all things house related. It was a beautiful day out at IX Park, thanks for hosting BRHBA, we had a great time!
