Holly Springs construction: wrapping up Phase 3 and heading into Phase 4

Holly Springs construction

In our Holly Springs progress reports, we offer as much information as we possibly can on the fiber network build process. We’ll also talk about Ting events, promotions and some of the work we’re doing in the Holly Springs community. Check back regularly to keep up to date on the latest.

Holly Springs construction continues

Over the last few months, we’ve been finishing up Phase 3 of the network build in Holly Springs. There’s no rest for fiber, and our teams are hard at work in Phase 4A and B.

That’s a wrap on Phase 3 construction

We spent the last months of 2017 focusing our efforts on blowing fiber in 12 Oaks. We’re now in the process of delivering drops and connecting homes and businesses. If you’re in Phase 3 and pre-ordered, you’ll receive a call from our team to book your installation.

If you want to learn a little bit more about fiber blowing and what the process looks like, watch our video below.

Announcing Phase 5 of the Ting fiber network build

Hey Holly Springs, since we came to town, we’ve covered significant ground and lit up many communities on the Ting fiber network.

If you haven’t had a chance, you should take a look at our year in review and read all about some of the cool work Ting got up to in your community in 2017.

The year is coming to an end and we’re already looking forward to what’s on the horizon for 2018. We’re gearing up for Phase 5 of network expansion.

What’s happening in Holly Springs

Hey Holly Springs, let’s catch you up on Ting network construction and progress. We’re going to walk you through the network, neighborhood by neighborhood, and let you know where we’re at.

How construction works

Before we get going, here’s a bit of context for how fiber gets to your home.

1. We dig to put conduit in the ground.

2. Super thin fiber optic cables are blown through the conduits.

3. We call everyone who has pre-ordered and ask permission to build a fiber drop to their property. A Ting technician will install a line of cable from where the network meets the edge of your property to the outside of your home. It’s the last bit fiber that gets you connected to the network.

4. Next up is installation. Check out our installation FAQ and our help article on the installation process.

Construction news

New Ting Van
Honk or wave if you see us about town!

Our teams have been enjoying the warmer weather and we’re working hard to build out our fiber network here in Holly Springs in spite of the seasonal rain. Install crews have been busy lighting up customers in Phase 1 neighborhoods. We’ve also been busy wrapping up construction in Phase 2 of our network rollout and we’ll soon begin lighting up residents there.

Last weekend, we threw a neighborhood party in celebration of Phase 3 construction, which will begin soon. It was super meeting those of you who braved the unfavorable weather to join us for some yummy food and fun for the kids. If you didn’t make it this time, we hope to meet your acquaintance soon at one of our sponsored events.

Progress! Construction continues here in Holly Springs

Holly Springs Phase 2 Event
Earier this month, we threw a party to kick off Phase 2 construction, to meet our neighbors, to answer questions and, more generally, to have a good time.

Phase 1

Main construction in Phase 1 is now complete and we’ve already begun lighting up customers in the Phase 1 neighborhoods of Holly Glen, Braxton Village and Holly Pointe.

If you pre-ordered, stay tuned: we’ll be reaching out to everyone that pre-ordered individually to schedule installation. Installation consists of two parts: first, a “fiber drop” that brings fiber from the street to the side of your home and second, the actual “inside install” that gets you connected to the Ting fiber network.

If you didn’t pre-order but you’re in a Phase 1 neighborhood, you can still get Ting crazy fast fiber Internet. It all starts with just
checking your address.

Phase 2

Thanks to all of those in Phase 2 (Autumn Park, Garrison, Morgan Park, Trotters Bluff, Oak Hall, Windcrest and Windward Pointe) who came out to visit us for our Phase 2 kickoff celebration. It’s always great to meet you face to face, and we appreciated the opportunity to answer your questions and get to know you a little better.

Our team has been busy in Morgan Park and Trotters Bluff, where construction is already nearing completion. We are working through the Town’s permitting process before we’ll be able to light up Autumn Park and Garrison. Construction will focus primarily on Brayton Park next.

Construction has begun in Oak Hall, and we’re aiming for completion this month. The neighborhoods of Windcrest and Windward Pointe follow.

The pre-order deadline for Phase 2 is February 28, so don’t delay!
