Hey Holly Springs, this post will let you know what Ting Internet has been up to in your community over the past year. This year we finished construction in Phase 3 and 4 of the network build. We also kicked off construction in Phase 5 and Phase 6. It’s been a busy year for Ting crews around town!
We’ve been to a ton of events all over town and made exciting new community partnerships. Thanks to everyone who came out to our annual Ting Park party, or visited the Ting booth at any of the events we were at this year. Here are some of the highlights!
Friends of Ting and pool parties
This year, we announced the Braxton Village HOA and the Holly Pointe HOA would be part of our Friends of Ting program. That means they get a free crazy fast fiber Internet connection and people can get online while they’re using HOA facilities, including the pools! We also hosted pool parties for these HOAs. Thanks to Braxton Village and Holly Pointe for their partnership!
Sponsoring the Hawktimus Prime robotics team at Holly Springs High School
At Holly Springs High School, the Hawktimus Prime Robotics Team engages students in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) subjects beyond the classroom. This local student team designs and builds new robots every year to enter into state and national robotics competitions.
Ting is always on the lookout for exciting local initiatives to get involved in and support. That’s why we were a proud sponsor of Hawktimus Prime’s 2017-2018 competition season. Sponsorship from Ting helped the team attend competitions and pay travel fees.
Second annual Ting Park party
We threw our second annual party in Ting Park! There were bouncy houses, vendors, food and entertainment for Ting customers. We loved celebrating with the community and hope everyone who came out had a fantastic time.
Other community partnerships
We held a community party for 12 Oaks where we donated $20 for every attendee to the food bank. We also donated to the AlzNC Charity Golf Tournament which raises money for Alzheimer’s Research as well as the Pretty in Pink golf tournament which helps raise money for women with breast cancer.
Ting TV coming soon
In June, we announced that Ting TV would be launching in Ting Towns across the US. You can sign up for updates and stay in the know about Ting TV while we keep working on developing an awesome TV product, powered by Ting fiber.
