In our Sandpoint progress reports, we offer as much information as we possibly can on the fiber network build process. We’ll also talk about Ting events, promotions and some of the work we’re doing in the Sandpoint community. Check back regularly to keep up to date on the latest.
Hey Sandpoint, in our last construction update we announced Phase 3 of our network build. Today, we’re pleased to report that construction work kicked off in Phase 3 in April.
Teams are also hard at work in Phase 2 and construction in this area is nearly complete. We’re placing the final handholes and flower pots, which are fiber access hatches that you’ll see placed every couple house lengths. We’ve started installing customers too! If you ordered Ting service, expect a call from our team to book your installation soon.
Phase 1 is ready for installation and we’ve been lighting people up with the fastest Internet available today. Ting Internet is also available at the Best Western Edgewater Hotel and the Seasons at Sandpoint. Fiber is a game changer for attracting new business and opportunity. Visitors to Sandpoint are going to experience crazy fast fiber Internet while they’re in town staying at Seasons at Sandpoint or the Edgewater Hotel.
Didn’t see your neighborhood?
If your neighborhood isn’t one of our announced phases, we don’t have an ETA for fiber coming to you just yet. We publish construction updates every two months. Keep an eye on these construction updates for more information coming soon.
Your pre-order works like a vote for your neighborhood
Pre-orders can and do impact Ting fiber network build plans. Specifically, pre-orders help us determine the demand for Ting in certain neighborhoods. There’s a possibility that we’ll expand into neighboring areas like Ponderay, Dover and Kootenai after Sandpoint. We want to hear who wants fiber next.
That’s why we like to say that your $9 refundable pre-order works like a vote to bring fiber to your neighborhood. Don’t forget to pre-order and encourage your neighbors to do the same.
Ting around town
Ting had a booth at the PBCA Home Garden Show on April 13 and 14 at the Bonner County Fairgrounds. We were also at the Ponderay Rotary Duck Derby in April, which raises scholarship funds for local students. We had a blast meeting everyone at these events and chatting with you all about the positive impact fiber can have in the community.
Want Ting in Dover, Ponderay or Kootenai?
We’re looking for opportunities to expand the Ting network. If you live in Dover, Ponderay or Kootenai, let us know you want Ting! Pre-order at ting.com/sandpoint. Pre-orders help us gauge demand and can impact build plans.
