The latest updates from the Ting Team in your town

Want Ting in Ponderay, Kootenai or Dover?

Want Ting?

In our Sandpoint progress reports, we offer as much information as we possibly can on the fiber network build process. We’ll also talk about Ting events, promotions and some of the work we’re doing in the Sandpoint community. Hey Sandpoint, in our last construction update, we provided some updates for the active phases of the Ting fiber network. Construction is nearing completion in Phase 2. Phase 3 continues and we’re pleased to report that we anticipate starting to light up customers in this area before the end of summer.

As always, if you live or work in Phase 1, 2 or 3 of the network, you can order Ting service for your home or business and get the fastest, most reliable Internet available today. That’s gigabit fiber Internet from Ting.

Where will fiber go next? You tell us

Not ones to rest when there’s awful Internet access around, we’re deciding where to take the Ting fiber network next. We’re currently considering expansion into neighboring areas like Ponderay, Kootenai and Dover once we’ve built out in Sandpoint itself. Make sure to cast your vote this summer by pre-ordering Ting to let us know. If we aren’t able to determine enough demand, we will not be expanding into these areas. It’s now or never!

We’re in a demand gauging phase until August 31. A pre-order in the surrounding area is a vote for fiber outside Sandpoint city limits. Maybe you want a reminder on why a Ting Internet pre-order costs $9.

Your $9 pre-order works like a vote to bring fiber to your neighborhood and will be fully refunded to you whether Ting ends up in your neighborhood or not. Don’t forget to pre-order and encourage your neighbors to do the same.

Already pre-ordered? Great! How forward-thinking of you. You can help to spread the word; let your friends and neighbors know they should do the same. Pre-orders can and do impact our build plans.

If you live in Ponderay, Kootenai or Dover, let us know you want Ting by pre-ordering at

Didn’t see your neighborhood?

If your neighborhood isn’t one of our announced phases, we don’t have an ETA for fiber coming to you just yet. We publish construction updates every two months. Keep an eye on these construction updates for more information coming soon.

Ting around town

Ting proudly sponsored a Smashpoint Gaming Super Smash Bros tournament at Uptown Bagel Co. This is the second Smashpoint Gaming event we’ve sponsored and it has been awesome to see such great turnouts at both events! If you’re a serious gamer at home, fiber can make all the difference. What’s the best Internet for gaming? It’s a true symmetrical gigabit fiber connection

Ting also sponsored the Pend Oreille Bay Trail Fun Run. The Pend Oreille Bay Trail (also known as the Bay Trail or even, colloquially, Bum Jungle) is a non-motorized trail covering a mile and a half of shoreline on Lake Pend Oreille. But you knew that. The trail connects Sandpoint and Ponderay. The Fun Run was in support of connecting the trail to more neighborhoods in Ponderay and also provide a link to Kootenai. With greater trail accessibility, even more kids, families and recreationists will be able to access the lake.

We had a neighborhood party for Phase 3 in June. It was great to meet local residents and business owners and talk about what fiber can do for Sandpoint.

On May 29, Ting also sponsored a theatre arts student at the music conservatory with a scholarship presentation and performance at the Panida Theatre.

We were back at Matchwood Brewery for Neighborhood Nights. The theme for the evening was Working Remote in Sandpoint, and gave telecommuters a chance to meet other telecommuters, learn about ways to get plugged into Sandpoint and drink a beer!

Ting supported the Sandpoint Senior Center. Our contribution helped with the Day Break Center in honor of Alzheimer’s patients as well as Jerry Kramer’s induction into the NHL Hall of Fame.
