Announcing Phase 1 of the Ting fiber network build
Our crews have hit the ground running and Wake Forest fiber construction is officially underway in Phase 1 of our network build. We can’t wait to bring crazy fast fiber to homes in the area!
So far, most of our work has taken place behind the scenes, designing, planning and getting permits. We’re excited to get started on the part we like to call “dirt and hard work.”
Not in Phase 1? Don’t worry. Once construction begins, we’ll continue, neighborhood by neighborhood, and will announce our next phase as soon as we can.
What to expect from construction
Phase 1 of the fiber network build will take place in Heritage North. If you live in this neighborhood, sit tight. We’re working on bringing fiber to your home. You can also read our post on what to expect from construction when it comes to your neighborhood.
Construction work will happen in the city-owned right-of-way, the area on the street side of your home that’s owned by the city and that is reserved for utilities. If you’ve ever noticed a water cap on your lawn, that’s typically around the dividing line between your property and the city’s property.
Want to learn more about construction? In the video below, we’ll take you behind the scenes in Holly Springs. Learn more about the stage of construction we call “dirt and hard work.”
Don’t forget to pre-order
Pre-orders are officially open for Wake Forest. Head to ting.com/wakeforest and enter your address to pre-order Ting gigabit and save $250 on your start-up costs.
What’s the deal with pre-ordering?
Your $9 pre-order is a one-time refundable charge that is returned as a credit on your first month’s Ting bill. Pre-ordering doesn’t just get you the best possible discount on Ting crazy fast fiber Internet (that’s a $250 installation discount on Ting gigabit), it also works like a vote to bring fiber to your neighborhood.
Remember, if you pre-order you also secure the earliest possible installation date.
Find out more about pre-ordering here.
