In our Westminster progress reports, we offer as much information as we possibly can on the fiber network build process. We’ll also talk about Ting events, promotions and some of the work we’re doing in the Westminster community. Check back regularly to keep up to date on the latest.
In our last construction update, we talked about the work being done to bridge Phase 3 to the rest of the network as well as future plans to expand into Phase 4.
Today, we’re pleased to report that the city is making steady progress on construction in Phase 3. It’s also been a busy past couple of months for the Ting team and we’re excited to share what we’ve been up to here in Westminster.
Phase 3 construction continues in Downtown Westminster
The City of Westminster has continued its construction efforts in Phase 3. While that important work is completed, we’re looking forward to lighting some homes in Phase 3 as soon as this summer.
If you have any questions about fiber network construction and timelines, please contact the City of Westminster. You can find more information about fiber construction on the city’s website.
Remember, if you have a business or residence or you’re a landlord in Phase 3, you have to do two things to get crazy fast fiber Internet.
Once you submit an access agreement, your address will be ready for a fiber drop. The city will bring the fiber drop to be installed at your property when you decide to purchase Ting services.
The pre-order deadline for Phase 3 is June 30, 2018.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to save on the installation fees!
If you’re located in Phase 3 or Phase 4 and want fiber Internet, pre-order Ting today.
A pre-order costs $9 and it will be credited to your first bill and comes with perks.
What Ting has been up to here in Westminster
We held a series of pop-up informational booths around downtown Westminster. The Ting team and members of the City of Westminster served up free coffee to the visitors at Jeannie Bird Baking Company. Our Ting Marketing Coordinator Patrick was at the booth to answer everyone’s questions and hand out swag. We also hosted a booth at the Chamber of Commerce, our installers were present and happy to answer questions.
Ting sponsored the MAGIC Capture the Flag ethical hacking competition, where Ting Install Technician Russ was a student mentor! It was awesome watching the students hard at work.
We had a booth set up at the Flower and Jazz Festival where we showed off some of our streaming speeds and had a great time meeting the community and talking about fiber.
Free movies for the community
For the second year in a row, Ting will be partnering with the Carroll Arts Center and sponsoring one free family movie for the community every week this summer!
