Welcome to the Ting Makerspace
We’re excited to announce that the Ting Westminster community Makerspace is officially open! A Makerspace is a place for hobbyists, technophiles, newbies and students alike to create, learn, share and teach. We’re proud to be instrumental in the opening of Westminster’s community Makerspace and we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Starting this Saturday, April 1, we invite you to stop by and explore the space, play with the
tech toys tools, and say hello to Ting Westminster City Specialist Steve Pixler. Steve will be on hand to answer any questions you might have during your visit.
Using the available equipment
In order to use each piece of equipment, you’ll be required to view an instructional video and complete an assessment of knowledge for each machine. Once complete, you will be given a card key that gives you access to the corresponding piece of equipment.
The Makerspace has a variety of equipment available for use including a 3D scanner, mini 3D printer, CNC router, hobby laser for cutting and engraving, Arduinos and a photo booth to take pictures of your projects. Without a reservation, the equipment is first come, first served.
For details about membership rules and fees, read our User Agreement, which contains the rules of the Makerspace and the liability waiver. You’ll need to sign both to apply for membership.
