Neighborhood construction news
We’ve been working hard constructing the fiber network throughout Charlottesville all winter long and we’re thankful for some nicer weather to work in now that spring has arrived. Here’s an update on the progress we’re making.
Construction of our network in Redfields is ongoing, and installation to homes has just begun. If you live in the Redfields neighborhood, now is the time to pre-order to receive a $200 discount on the cost of installation and we’ll let you know as soon as you’re serviceable.
You may also find our construction and installation crews around C’ville in neighborhoods like Fontana, Eagles Landing, and Johnson Village. We’re working on bringing service to several apartment buildings owned by University Properties as well. If you see one of our Ting trucks when you’re out and about town, snap a photo then post it to Twitter or Facebook with the hashtag #TingTruck for a chance to win some Ting swag!
Click the thumbnail above to open our most recent coverage map and check to see how much of your neighborhood we have covered. Then check your address to find out if you can get crazy fast fiber Internet from Ting where you live. If not, pre-order and we’ll let you know as soon you can set up an installation appointment!
It’s that time of year again! Live music, block party, food trucks, and hopefully some sunshine… what could be better than Tom Tom in spring?
As sponsors for the third consecutive year, we’ll be in Lee Park on April 14 and 15 with free swag bags and lemonade. We’ll also be at the block party on Friday. Come hang out under the Ting Tent with us!

In partnership with Willowtree Apps and Smart Cville, Ting is sponsoring a “hackathon” where participants tackle civil and social issues using technology.
You’re invited to join with members of the community to discuss ways in which technology can help us meet community challenges during Charlottesville’s first Civic Innovation Day on June 3.
