A fiber connection can increase home value

Increase home value with a fiber Internet connection

Did you know fiber Internet can boost home value?

A 2015 study commissioned by the Fiber to the Home Council Americas (FTTH) found that the impact of fiber on property values can be more than three percent. On a $300,000 home, that’s a $9,000 boost.

A fiber connection has an impact on home prices similar to other home improvement projects. Many homeowners opt to renovate and upgrade their homes and properties. These improvements, like redoing the kitchen, putting in hardwood floors or investing in landscaping, can be attractive features to prospective home buyers.

The increase calculated by the FTTH study was $5,437, based on the value of an average US home. To put that boost in perspective, it’s equal to adding a fireplace, half of a bathroom or a quarter of a swimming pool. Not literally, of course; no one wants a quarter of a swimming pool.

Today, people are shopping for more than just curb appeal. They’re looking for a quality Internet connection.

Ting Park is all about the future in Holly Springs

Ting Park

You might be familiar with Ting Park, formerly known as the North Main Athletic Complex, and the role it plays in your town. From local sports leagues to national tournaments, this sprawling parks facility provides an incredible parks and rec resource, drives commerce and supports a thriving local community.

In 2012, Holly Springs started to explore the possibility of building a 42-acre park on a piece of land. In 2015, construction officially completed and the park opened its doors to the community. That same year, Ting Internet announced it was coming to Holly Springs to build and service a fiber optic Internet network, bringing the fastest Internet around to local residents and businesses.

What is Ting Internet?

Hey, we’re Ting. You may have met our team around town, seen one of our ads or heard about us coming soon to your neighborhood. Pleased to meet you. If you’re wondering what it is exactly we do, you’ve come to the right place.

Ting Internet is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) that builds, lights and services fiber networks across the US.

Ting crazy fast fiber Internet is radically different from the old, slow and unreliable copper Internet connections we’re all used to. It stands to reason that Ting is radically different from the behemoth cable companies you’ve dealt with in the past.

Holly Springs construction: wrapping up Phase 3 and heading into Phase 4

Holly Springs construction

In our Holly Springs progress reports, we offer as much information as we possibly can on the fiber network build process. We’ll also talk about Ting events, promotions and some of the work we’re doing in the Holly Springs community. Check back regularly to keep up to date on the latest.

Holly Springs construction continues

Over the last few months, we’ve been finishing up Phase 3 of the network build in Holly Springs. There’s no rest for fiber, and our teams are hard at work in Phase 4A and B.

That’s a wrap on Phase 3 construction

We spent the last months of 2017 focusing our efforts on blowing fiber in 12 Oaks. We’re now in the process of delivering drops and connecting homes and businesses. If you’re in Phase 3 and pre-ordered, you’ll receive a call from our team to book your installation.

If you want to learn a little bit more about fiber blowing and what the process looks like, watch our video below.
