We asked City Council President of Westminster, Dr. Wack, for an update on the status of the fiber network. He explains that the city is now finishing up the bid process and awarding a contract for the next phase of construction.
Built by Westminster, powered by Ting, the network will bring high-speed fiber Internet to about 2,700 new residential premises by the end of the year. Then, we’re onto the next phase of development!
By the way, if you want a fiber drop or you think you may want one in the future, be sure to sign the access agreement, which gives the City of Westminster permission to install fiber to your property with zero obligation.
