#TEAMTING – Jessica Eure

#TEAMTING is a series where we showcase some of our favorite Ting customer stories, whether from an individual, a family, a tech-head or a retiree.

Jessica and her husband use two smartphones on Ting and are saving $75 a month since leaving their previous carrier.

We had the chance to chat with Jessica in Charlottesville, VA, who shared why her family has been with Ting since the very beginning.

“My husband Tim is a Linux developer and he’s always on top of the latest and greatest technology. He’s interested in companies that are responsible and up-front with everything, and Ting met those criteria.”

Jessica mentioned that their monthly bill is about half the price it used to be.

“When we first switched to Ting, the only thing we noticed was that our bill was ridiculously cheap. People wouldn’t believe us when I told them we were paying for two smartphones!”

#TEAMTING – Mike and Kate McMurtrey

#TEAMTING is a series where we showcase some of our favorite Ting customer stories, whether from an individual, a family, a tech-head or a retiree.

Mike and Kate live in Charlottesville, VA and recently said goodbye to their old mobile provider after hearing about Ting.

“I got my first smartphone with Ting,” said Kate. “With Verizon, I would have to pay at least $30 a month for a smartphone, no matter how much service I actually used.”

Since switching to Ting, Kate and Mike been saving around 45 bucks a month on their mobile bill.

“Technically, we didn’t have to pay anything the first month because of referrals,” explained Mike. “We heard about Ting from Kate’s parents who hooked us up with a $25 credit, and then I referred my brother so we got 50 bucks for that too!”

#TEAMTING – Maureen Brondyke

#TEAMTING is a series where we showcase some of our favorite Ting customer stories, whether from an individual, a family, a tech-head or a retiree.

Maureen and her husband live in Charlottesville, Virginia and have an average bill of $50 a month for two iPhones with Ting.

We chatted with Maureen during Charlottesville’s annual Tom Tom Founders Festival last week and had the chance to ask why Ting is a good fit for her family.

“I use my iPhone constantly for work, I’m on Instagram, Twitter and I text often – basically use it the exact same way as before I switched to Ting, except our bill is $75 a month cheaper.”

#TEAMTING – Paige Hoogendoorn

#TEAMTING is a series where we showcase some of our favorite Ting customer stories, whether from an individual, a family, a tech-head or a retiree.

Paige goes to college in Delaware and uses a Samsung Galaxy S3 on Ting.

About a year ago, she discovered Ting and realized that she didn’t have to settle for a expensive monthly bill just to get access to a smartphone.

“Ting is easy, it won’t break your bank, it just makes sense. I think more people should switch to Ting, they just don’t know about it.”

By taking advantage of Wi-Fi and setting simple usage alerts, Paige was able to lower her phone bill by $35 a month!

“I changed my phone settings and I connect to Wi-Fi whenever I can.”

“Also, Ting customer service makes me feel like they’re my friend. I’d call one of them up just to have a chat lol.”

#TEAMTING – Daniel Miller

#TEAMTING is a series where we showcase some of our favorite Ting customer stories, whether from an individual, a family, a tech-head or a retiree.

Daniel studies in Albuquerque and joined Ting just over two years ago. He decided that he no longer had to put up with a contrived carrier and complicated plans.

“I pay for what I use without paying any unnecessary fees. I started using almost strictly Wi-Fi and found it to be a much better alternative to data. Saves money, battery, and when I’m out in public, I’m not constantly on my phone browsing the internet.”

Ever since he made the switch to Ting, he’s been saving an average of $80 a month on his cell phone bill.

“Thanks to referring a couple people, I haven’t had a phone bill in months. I usually spend about $17 a month, but when I was on vacation I had to use a little more data and usage than usual. My bill ended up being a little higher, but still much, much less than I would have with my old Sprint contract.”

“Personally I’m 100% happy with Ting, but I wish it was possible to bring a device over from another carrier besides Sprint.”

Good news, Daniel. Now you can!

#TEAMTING – Sergio Lorenzana

#TEAMTING is a series where we showcase some of our favorite Ting customer stories, whether from an individual, a family, a tech-head or a retiree.

Sergio is a student at ODU and saves around $67 a month on mobile with Ting. Sergio realized that Ting rates are a perfect match for his usage; having Wi-Fi on campus meant he didn’t need to sign up for a heavy duty plan.

“Many apps allow you to use Wi-Fi to text/call/browse the internet. When I’m connected to Wi-Fi (especially so on campus), I’m saving so much money.”

“Ting is the smart people’s choice for phone service. If you want to pay less a month for service, take a look on how you’re managing your own usage. You often think “unlimited plans” apply to you, but often you’re not even coming close to reaching the numbers to warrant having to pay an arm and a leg for that particular service.”

“When I’m outside wireless connectivity, the rates are comfortably low. I’m always surprised, even after heavy usage, how low my bill is.”
