Ting Download: ChoreMonster

Getting the kids to do their chores has never been an easy task. Fortunately, ChoreMonster has found a way to actually make them fun!

As a parent, the app lets you easily add specific chores to your child’s list of tasks. After assigning point values for different types of chores, your youngster will earn these points after finishing his household duties and completing the task within the app.

Points can be redeemed for rewards that you create, like an hour of video games, treats or a weekend sleepover.

ChoreMonster even offers Amazon integration, letting you add items from Amazon listings to your child’s set of rewards. Once they have enough points, they can exchange them for the reward and the product will automatically be shipped from Amazon to your house.

Finishing chores will also give your kid tickets to the “Monster Carnival” where they can win and collect over 250 different Monsters in the app.

ChoreMonster supports pretty much all operating systems and devices. If you can connect to the Internet, ChoreMonster’s got your back. iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Kindle Fire and web browsers are all included.

Get free unlimited cloud storage with Google Photos

Google Photos offers free unlimited storage for all your pictures and videos. Safe and secure in the cloud, your media is available on any Internet-accessible device, like your smartphone, tablet or any browser window at photos.google.com. Google Photos also offers shared folders, which makes sharing special moments with your family and friends easier than ever.

It does much more than just store and share your photos though – its search feature is so amazing it’s almost scary. After scanning all of your uploaded content and identifying objects within, Google categorizes your pictures by people, location and things. This intelligent algorithm can show you every picture with your face in it, for example, or every photo you ever took while on the beach.

While its pre-sorted categories are awesome, Google Photos’ search bar can discover more than you’d ever imagine. It can locate almost any object or setting within a photo and instantly show you relevant results. I tested a variety of terms like cat, sunny day, snow and food, and found success every time. Even searching for more obscure things like book and slide turned up a picture of my Game of Thrones novel and shots of my nephew at a playground.

You can upload all your older photos, too – Google Photos isn’t smartphone-specific. Just use the desktop uploader to keep all your memories safe forever, accessible from any Internet browser in just a quick second.

Take a closer look at all Google Photos has to offer in our video below.

Ting Download: Pintasking

Whoever said multitasking on a smartphone was easy clearly never tried multitasking on a smartphone.

App switching has never been as simple as it should be. Sure, you can always tap the Recent apps button, but it involves pulling up a different screen and scrolling through cards to find the specific app you’re looking for. It’s far from a one-tap solution, and considering the extensive customizability Android offers, it’s a little silly there isn’t a better way.

You may sense where this is going…

Pintasking is a useful tool that turns your apps into small buttons that hang out on the side of your smartphone screen. Similar to Facebook Messenger’s “Chat Heads,” these circles aren’t intrusive and let you multitask like never before.

The premise is simple: Apps are pinned into floating shortcuts, that, when tapped, take you straight into the app. It’s the quickest way to switch between apps that we’ve ever seen, and since discovering it, it’s become a feature that we just can’t live without.

If you’re often using multiple apps on your smartphone, Pintasking is definitely worth a download. The basic version of Pintasking that allows pinning of just two apps is free. If it becomes indispensable, the Pro version for $3.99 lets you pin more multiple apps and offers much more customizability.
